We left Kansas City on August 31, 2009, walked 3300 miles for Christ and finally got out of the RV and into a one bedroom apartment 102 weeks later! The apartment we have now is about 100 yards away from where we lived before and about 100 yards away from the front door of the International House of Prayer.  The view is not much but the location is fabulous! We get to roll out of bed and roll into the Prayer Room in less than ten minutes! What a fantastic way to start the day!

Now if you have not been to the House of Prayer, let me explain that there are “Fire in the night” people who pray from midnight to 6:00am. When we get to the Prayer Room around 5:00am-ish, they have caught their their second wind and are in a state  somewhere between morning mellow and Divinely delirious.

 Just before they start to leave, the students  from IHOP University start to stream in for  their  morning time at  the altar of GOD  before their classes begin. Everything here  has GOD as  its base and foundation. That’s why  it is difficult to explain sometimes. The Prayer Room is  not a church or a school; it is a Mission Base.

It is a place to take off from and return to. It is the knowledge that as one leaves another takes his or her place and prays; the altar of GOD is never empty.  As I walked America, there were people praying not only for me but for you and for our families, our cities, our nation and our world. While we sleep people are worshiping GOD, praying against abortion and human trafficking, praying for the peace of Jerusalem and thanking GOD for all His blessings.

It feels good for us to be home and to be surrounded by people who are seeking GOD. We are getting strengthened and encouraged and loved. Kansas City is more than our home. It is our Mission Base.
